Job Overview
Our client is seeking a talented Appian Systems Developer, who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software solutions to meet the organization’s needs, with a strong focus on Appian, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dynamics), and other low code technologies.The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software development, the ability to work in an Agile environment, and a desire to grow their technical skills.
This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business needs, participating in Agile Methodologies, Troubleshooting & Support, Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement while adhering to development best practices.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Appian Developer Certification is required.
- Certifications in other relevant programming languages, cloud platforms, or development methodologies] are a plus.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in software development.
- 2-5 years of experience in Appian development, including the design, implementation, and deployment of Appian applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dynamics.
- Experience working in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, with a strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with other relevant programming languages, e.g., JASON, XML, HTML, Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript.
- Experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, MariaDB, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs, microservices, and scalable applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and development practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with low-code/no-code platforms or workflow automation tools.
- Familiarity with any relevant systems or platforms like SharePoint, document management, etc.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, version control).
- Background in supporting non-profit clients and organizations.
