About the Job
Under limited direction, Application Analyst-Pharmacy is the primary support contact for the application. They coordinate all issues that arise during the project and during support for their application area while adhering to MyMichigan Health's policies, procedures, and business operations. Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and review and test software. Serves as a liaison between end users, third parties, and Epic implementation and support staff. Provides subject matter expertise for one or more application modules.
Responsibilities:(30%)*Uses a strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements to work with business owners and users to document requirements and workflows. Design and maintain content and key system controls (codes tables, master files, user's interfaces etc.).
(10%)*Trouble shoots problems and incidents. Recommends innovative solutions.
(10%)*Plans, executes, and documents supporting evidence of application testing.
(20%)*Collects information regarding potential system enhancement needs and analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.
(20%)*Analyzes application capabilities to optimize its use within workflows.
(5%)*Assists in cross training team members and users.
(5%)*Able to lead additional projects including software updates and changes.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Exhibit a commitment to exceptional customer service while providing Go-Live or Daily end user support and training of Applications.
Using an in-depth knowledge of the application systems and clinical background, analysts continually configure, test, and maintain system functionality to meet the needs of end-users in their areas of support.
Drives informed decisions on system upgrades and enhancements by leading conceptualization, creation, testing, and upkeep of system improvements.
Deliver prompt, efficient, and effective customer assistance by skillfully addressing reported concerns until they are successfully resolved by bringing all necessary parties together and delegating tasks to ensure success.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and support activities. Creates knowledge-based support articles to clearly document resolutions and uses these documents to educate others on resolutions.
Supports multiple applications, including design, build, testing, training, and troubleshooting with minimal guidance. Performs build tasks following best practices with the minimal support.
Identifies and presents alternative options for solutions to complex problems, with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues. Regularly analyze performance metrics and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Execute system updates and changes in accordance to IT incident and change policies and procedures, including documentation of process, testing, and approvals.
Actively participate in strategic planning for the application system and develop implementation plans for new system functionality. Works collaboratively with other members of the IT team and end-users to develop and implement these plans.
Travel between MyMichigan Locations may be required to support applications and go-live implementations.
Acts as a mentor and subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and best practices with team members.
Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions, training programs, and documentation repositories to promote continuous learning and skill development.
Certifications and Licensures:PHARM: Pharmacist
Current licensure in the State of Michigan required. Three years clinical experience working in pharmacy preferred.
BACH
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm. D required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Three (3) or more years working with EMR software.
Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate at multiple organization levels across the health system as required.
Epic certification or proficiency is required within 3 months of hire or transfer into role.
Strong analytical thinking skills to dissect complex problems, assess various options, and make informed decisions in support and implementation of Applications.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure system integrity and accuracy.
Effectively translates and communicate complex technical solutions across various groups to help drive informed decision making by stake holders.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for engaging with stakeholders, team members, and end users in a clear and concise manner.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death.
Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position.
Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description.
Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s).
Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching.
Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.
Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
Physical Demand Level: Sedentary. Must be able to occasionally (0-33% of the workday) lift or carry 0-10 lbs.
