Job Description
Who We Are:TheDepartment of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services including Information Technology project delivery, maintenance and support. This position is with Agency Services supporting the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB).

This person needs to be an excellent communicator, meaning you can effectively make oral and written reports, presentations and prepare clear and concise documentation. You need to have a team-oriented mindset and be capable of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients and team members. We need someone who can help resolve problems in a timely manner and seek effective solutions.
About The Position: This position functions as an application development expert, within a team of technology professionals. The specialist is responsible for the design, development, testing, on-going enhancements and documentation of technical architecture, software, databases, and security solutions that support the Department of Technology, Management and Budget. This specialist is responsible for leading application development projects which focus on achieving the goals and mission of the DTMB. This position has responsibilities during all phases of the software development lifecycle related to these applications supported by Agency Services – DTMB. This position serves as a specialist for major systems such asProcurement – MiPro Data, Enterprise Forms Automation, CIP Card Access (MiCARP), etc. Apart from major system support, this position is also responsible for directing and checking the work of team members, including state employees and contractors. Responsibilities include providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced analysts. This specialist requires considerable knowledge of the development platform(s) as listed within the knowledge skills and abilities section of this position description.
Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

SIGNING BONUS: This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
