Position: Application Engineer I
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
Clearance: Clearable to L
KeyLogic is seeking an Application Engineer II to support a major national laboratory.
Provide agile, integrated, software solutions that simplify everyday tasks by providing holistic, modern enterprise applications and IT solutions to support the IT program at a major national laboratory.
Corporate applications and technology include the enterprise Learning Management System (LMS), a full medical portfolio of IT products, and other ancillary software systems.
Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively, while crucially maintaining confidentiality to comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Act as the primary onsite point-of-contact for all hardware within the medical clinic. Support Windows, Macs, IOS devices, network equipment, and related peripherals.
- Receive, coordinate, and resolve all daily incidents and requests via the ticketing system, ensuring strong communication and resolution in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily workload, attend daily scrum standup meetings, and report status of open tasks.
- Dragon Medical One for software installation and troubleshooting for Medical Providers.
- Support employee health (Virgin Pulse) kiosks.
- Manage assets, inventory, and maintain documentation.
- Act as liaison by increasing visibility and communication of incidents and resolutions between end users, third parties, and other IT partners.
- Create and maintain documentation on Helpdesk policies, IT technical Knowledge articles, user support, and technology training.
- Manage IT equipment and application inventory, licensing, and asset tracking.
- Perform safety walk-throughs ensuring that all IT equipment and peripherals such as cables and cords are securely configured.
- Provide information assurance support to projects across other departments by interpreting cyber security requirements.
- Provide security and load testing for applications.
- Software system architecture, requirements engineering, software design, deployment, testing, and data integration to support and provide accurate, timely and auditable data while partnering with our business partners to integrate IT into their business strategy.
- Take responsibility for learning how new functionality in releases is used, awareness of software updates and change schedule.
- Server management
- Assist with deployment of a new Employee Healthcare Records (EHR) system.
- Support up to the Director-level.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent combination of relevant education and 1-year relevant experience
- In lieu of degree, an additional 6 years of relevant experience, totaling 7 years' experience is acceptable.
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy L security clearance.
- Demonstrable ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks.
- Experience with on-site or by phone IT help desk experience.
- Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with end users and vendors.
- Willingness to participate in after-hours support as needed.
Desired:
- Experience managing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software and day-to-day IT tickets and prioritization.
