Position Overview:
Claros Technologies is primarily focused on the research, development, scale-up, and commercialization of its PFAS destruction technology. We are seeking a collaborative, driven individual to join our team as an Application Engineer. The Application Engineer will be tasked with partnering with both the technical and business teams to execute customer-focused deliverables to progress Claros' partners through the partnership pipeline. Reporting to the Director of Lab Operations, this individual will require technical know-how, and will be responsible for interacting directly with customers during the implementation of Claros solutions into customer processes.
Essential Job Functions:
- Be the connection between Customers and Claros' R & D Team
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Claros solutions deployed for customer use either at headquarters or at customer sites
- Become the expert on the operation of Claros PFAS destruction technology, and support and train customers for the successful implementation of the technology at their sites
- Oversee the installation of Claros PFAS destruction technology at partner sites
- Evaluate and execute adjustments as necessary to Claros solutions to ensure the technology meets customer specifications
- Bring customers through the commercialization process: from initial laboratory validation through ultimate field deployment
- Partner with the business team in communications directly with customers ensure the successful implementation and operation of Claros solutions
Competencies & Skills:
- Strong technical know-how, with a jack-of-all-trades mindset
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; experience in a customer-facing role a plus
- Strong problem solving skills; ability to troubleshoot technological issues at partner sites as needed
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
- Inquisitive mindset
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in related engineering or chemistry related field (preference for environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or chemical engineering background)
- 2-5 years in a similar customer-interfacing technical role; proven track record of explaining technical or operational concepts to external parties
- Attention to detail with prior experience in a role requiring technical problem-solving
Job Specifications
- Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000
- Location: In person at the Claros Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Travel: May be required periodically for purposes such as client site visits; not required on a regular or frequent basis.
