Ecolab has an exciting opportunity; as the Applications Engineer you will provide technical support to our sales force and customers in the application of ion exchange resin, absorbent, and catalyst-based products. In your role as the Application Engineer, you will play- a crucial role in developing customized solutions for our clients through collaboration with engineering, sales, and customer services teams, to create complex and sophisticated ion exchange (IEX) applications.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate on Development Projects:
- Work closely with engineering, sales, and customer services departments.
- Apply ion exchange resin, absorbent, and catalyst-based products to meet client needs.
- Conduct laboratory-scale pilot operations to define parameters for novel uses of ion exchange resins.
Optimize Applications:
- Integrate new technologies to enhance IEX performance.
Support Sales Efforts:
- Assist the sales team by offering additional technical and troubleshooting support for our products and associated ion exchange equipment.
- Provide support for current and new applications during client interactions.
- Deliver various training sessions and sales presentations to the sales force and customers.
Innovate and Document:
- Generate ideas for IEX improvements based on market trends.
- Document development processes, procedures, and applications.
Position Details
- This position is hybrid; 3 days in the office (King of Prussia or G Street) 2 days remote area and will require 20% US travel
- Responsible for supporting Canada and the east coast of US
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years of experience in an engineering or related position
- No immigrations sponsorship available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Applied Chemistry is preferred.
- Experience in the design, application and troubleshooting of ion exchange resin processes and/or water treatment processes is preferred.
- Sales, customer service and marketing experience
- Ability to problem solve and interact well with multiple internal and external customers.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
