This apprenticeship application will be for an 8-day Work Trial starting on one of the following dates: June 9th, 2025 or July 7th 2025. Work Trial and Apprenticeship training are located in Ashland, VA. This Work Trial is the first step towards the full 3 or 5-year program. It will give interested students the chance to learn more about analytical instrumentation, their applications, and help determine the fit for the full 3 or 5-year apprenticeship program. During the apprenticeship program the candidates will complete their high school degree and an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree through a local community college or four-year college or university. Upon completion of the program recent graduates will be required to work for Anton Paar for a period determined by their program. Anton Paar will offer a path into a Technical Trainee position with further career development. Apprentices have the ability to move to any region after completion of the program. The more open a candidate is to relocation the more opportunity there is for career progression within Anton Paar.
The compensation will be $12 per hour during the Work Trial program, $14 per hour while in high school, increasing to $16 per hour while working on receiving an Associate’s/Bachelor's degree. Anton Paar USA offers back to school incentives. Tuition at a local community college will be covered by Anton Paar while tuition assistance is available at a local 4-year college/university. After successful completion of the 3 or 5-year apprenticeship program, candidates will be assigned to a minimum of a Technical Trainee position with compensation of $40,000/year, full benefits, and bonus opportunities.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:Your responsibilities include:
- Learning important work-related skills in relation to service or application support.
- Willingness to learn complex and unique skills pertaining to Anton Paar’s many product lines.
- Eagerness to take on other roles and challenges.
You will need these skills and qualifications:
- An enjoyment of science and math, not limited to, Chemistry, Physics, and Calculus before finishing high school. Pre-Calculus is required for pursuing an Associates’ in Engineering. AP or IB classes are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Reliable transportation to the Ashland Office.
