Reporting to either the Senior Manager, Project Execution or AS Senior Project Manager, the AS Project Manager will be responsible for interacting with sales representatives, architects, owners, facility managers, contractors, and distributors to influence the specification and purchase of company Architectural Specialties special ceiling solutions. The incumbent is charged with driving projects forward while ensuring high quality, innovative design and manufacturing is applied throughout. The role requires a direct understanding of design & manufacturing processes, standards and workflows and the ability to manage a growing team while navigating complex design challenges.

What you will do
- Manages client relationships, working collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders while navigating complex design challenges, developing creative technical solutions to meet project goals.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to deliver successful projects and promote repeat business.
- Responsible for direct client communication including management of schedules and key milestones/deliverables.
- Completes analysis of complex project criteria (design intent, budget, schedule, resource availability, etc.) and creation of effective, actionable plans to align these various criteria in real-time with achievable positive results.
- Maintains a comprehensive understanding of product systems, demonstrating expertise with clients on product applications and customizations.
- Presents innovative solutions and drives internal developments and improvements.
- Utilizes architectural and manufacturing expertise to guide design development and oversight in collaboration with team members in production of shop drawings and supporting documentation.
- Collaborates with the Production Team to ensure projects are manufactured on time and to exacting standards.
- Researches and coordinates specialty materials, manufacturing, and consulting services, as well as outside vendor management.
- Measures and monitors project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Proactively works to deliver projects on-time, within budget, within scope, and within specifications.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Direct reporting relationships may include 1-2 AS CAD Designers.
What will make you successful
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, or another relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years project management work experience in commercial architecture, manufacturing, or contract furniture
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task for maximum efficiency without sacrificing accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and pleasant phone manner to service incoming and outgoing calls.
- Proficiency using computers and software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High proficiency with MS Office Suite and general computer functions.
- Proficient at reading floor plans, RCP; understand and use commercial construction terms.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment where processes are still evolving and are updated as needed depending on business requirements.
- Proven experience in a customer-facing role

- Plant Environment – This position operates in a manufacturing setting and can be subject to extreme cold and hot temperatures; uneven walking surfaces with cords, tools, and other obstacles; intermittent loud noises; and dusty or dirty conditions. Required PPE includes hard hat (when required), safety glasses, earplugs, steel toe/composite boots, and fall protection.
