POSITION: Area Manager

LOCATION: Texas City, Texas with travel
SUMMARY: The Area Manager is responsible for the overall growth and operational excellence throughout his area of responsibility, which typically includes multiple branches.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures Health and Safety is an absolute value by following policies, processes, and always setting an example.
- Partners with Area safety leadership to provide guidance and direction.
- Develops, maintains, and executes Area business plan the strategy and execution of company vision. Develops and administers a sales and marketing plan to retain customers, acquire new customers, regain past customers, or seek non-traditional industries that may have a use for industrial cleaning services.
- Manages P&L to maximize company benefit while not sacrificing service excellence.
- Follow and enforce all company policies.
- Responsible for all equipment and machinery owned by the Area Branches. This shall include recommendations for the acquisition and disposal of existing and new equipment.
- Interface with other Area and Branch Managers focusing on problems and timely resolution and getting personnel and equipment needed at peak times.
- Review and approve all nonbillable time requests.
- Review and approve all purchase orders for the Area Branches.
- Conduct annual personnel evaluations for all direct report personnel.
- Interface and monitor morale of personnel and endeavor to maintain a high level.
- Maintain awareness and share information regarding new and better methods of doing business.
- Maintain a working knowledge of current applicable regulations.
- Maintain high visibility at customer sites, focusing and resolving problems.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+10 years’ experience in Industrial operations.
- Working knowledge basic accounting functions, ability to read and understand a P&L statement.
- Understands key financial indicators and success measures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thinking skills - decision-making ability, long-term vision, seasoned judgment.
- Ability to inspire a common vision.
- Skills in supervision, planning, coordination, budget preparation, contract negotiations, and human, community, and labor relations.
- Ability to drive change while maintaining operational effectiveness.
- Strong skills in analysis and problem solving.
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Personal depth, in the form of mature confidence, adaptability, self-direction, and organization
