We are seeking an Area Operations Manager to provide comprehensive support to retail locations in Ohio. This person will lead the efforts and drive the activities around implementing customer service and operational standards and support in managing the execution of policies and procedures in the stores. Ensuring that all locations are effectively managed and maintained according to the company standards.
THE TEAM:

The Company operates more than two dozen retail locations across the country under the retail brand, BEYOND / HELLO™ as well as under the recently acquired brand, Nature’s Remedy. The Company provides an unparalleled in-store experience, coupled with online reservations and in-store express pickup.
Each day, Jushi team members continue to grow, cultivate, process and manufacture a comprehensive suite of cannabis brands under the names: The Bank, The Lab, Tasteology, Nira Medicinals and Sèche, which are addressing a wide variety of consumer and patient needs across multiple states.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Working in the retail locations; 2 – 3 days at each location per week including weekends.
Provides dedicated support to Sr. Director of Retail Operations on execution and elevation of customer experience, process improvements, training, compliance, and accountability.
Acquisitions post turn over health checks evaluations and observations. Assess all operations, processes and how they impact the experience and financials. (ex. customer experience, inventory levels, marketing follow up, community engagement post transition.)
Identify quick wins and opportunities for current and expanded growth in the state.
Evaluate the leadership and team – using Jushi Competencies and Values. Work with the Sr. Director to adjust the store organization structure based on needs, assessment and operational changes.
Learn and document existing processes and procedures to come up with action plans and strategies to streamline efficiencies and support our mission to standardize to Jushi practices.
Support and be involved in training and onboarding of all roles using cultivate U training courses, policies and procedures, job aids, the retail onboarding checklists, and retail operations checklists.
Be a liaison for the Store Managers and Leads as we change processes and workflow responsibilities.
Serves as a trusted, results-oriented, transformation subject matter expert.
Implement solutions to fix problems and inconsistencies called out during financial and operations audits.
Deliver on the customer journey and experience standards through consistent training and follow-up.
Conduct spot checks and assessments to ensure standards are being upheld- KPI audits, financial and inventory controls, cleaning/open/close checklists.
Teach and uphold the product knowledge upselling and merchandising consistency at the POS and kiosks.
Roll out process continuous improvements to drive efficiencies, quicker transaction times, more products on the menu and more promotions to drive product sell through in the transition stores.
Evaluate and develop consistencies in scheduling to meet the needs of the business and drive KPI performance.
Communicate and lead the escalation/communication of risks and issues as appropriate.
Develops and mentors’ staff through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; builds and maintains employee morale and motivation; ensures the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies; fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Challenging assumptions and proactively highlighting impact on customers and the organization.
Leadership updates on progress, risks, issues, and way forward plans.
When required, direct the activities of teams through leadership and collaboration.
If needed, support the performance management of team members in collaboration with and guidance of the ownership company.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
10 years of previous Sales/Management experience.
Demonstration of cross-discipline execution of brand and marketing strategy
Ability to interpret, organize and visualize data
Dynamic, creative, and passionate about brand development and innovative marketing
Knowledge and experience in the cannabis industry, but not required
Expert in retail with experience managing multiple retail locations
Strong analytical skills
Strong organization and planning skills
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to build relationships
MS Office proficient with the ability to utilize and navigate multiple software platforms with ease
Must be flexible regarding work schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays, opening and closing
Complete any needed assistance including oversight and coverage outside of the assigned region as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
Frequently sitting, standing and walking
Occasionally reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 50 pounds
Occasionally Twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
An environment with moderate to loud noise level
Travel to multi-sites on a weekly basis
