Armed Security Guard - Chenega Corporation

Overview

The Armed Security Officer supports the USACE installation in Washington, D.C.

Responsibilities

• Provide first response to emergencies.
• Conduct mobile patrols, inspections and searches.
• Conduct traffic enforcement and assist with investigations as needed.
• Provide access control of USACE installation.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Active DC Certification to work as an armed security officer.
• Possess a high school education or equivalency.
• Have at least two years demonstrating the following: ability to meet and deal with the general public, ability to read, understand and apply various rules, regulations and training materials; the ability to maintain poise and self-control under stress; the ability to write clear, concise, accurate and detailed reports.
• Proficiency in the use and safe handling of a standard 9-mm handgun.
• Demonstrated prior experience with armed experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
• Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.
