Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
- Work from visual aids, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal assembly instructions.
- Set initial layouts, use hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Conduct continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- Conduct quality inspections on processing line per quality specifications.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies according to specifications.
Production Support Career Stream:
- Provide support in manufacturing operations and/or distribution centers including assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution of company products.
- May set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines in a continuous production operation.
- Report machine malfunctions, recommending adjustments to methods or processes.
- May be involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products.
