Assembler - Selux Corporation - CI – The Manufacturing Career HUB

Selux Corporation is hiring Assemblers in their Highland, NY manufacturing location. 

Using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and test equipment, perform a series of operations to correctly assemble mechanical and electrical parts in a Lighting Manufacturing company. 
Full time position with paid time off, holidays, medical, dental and vision insurance.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm, 40 hours/week

Pay rate: $17.00/hr

Job Summary:

• Follow detailed assembly instructions, blue prints, processes and procedures.
• Strive to meet planned work center times established in ERP system.
• Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Lead.
• Provide hands on job function training to coworkers as needed.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
• Performs ERP transactions accurately to company policies and procedures.

• Ability to use appropriate measuring tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Previous experience in assembly in a manufacturing environment.
• Good written and oral communication skills.

Physical Demands:

• Required to stand, walk, bend, and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to use hands to handle objects
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision requirements include close vision.

Work Environment:

• Will be required to work in manufacturing & warehouse areas. Will be exposed to a noisy environment routinely.
