Assistant Attorney General
Employment Trial Section - St. Louis, MO
The Missouri Attorney General's Office is actively looking for attorneys with excellent credentials interested in our Employment Trial Section in the St. Louis office.
The Employment Trial Section vigorously defends the State of Missouri. This includes the defense of state officials, agencies, and individual employees throughout all levels of government. The Section provides the opportunity to participate in complex litigation, including jury trials.
Experienced attorneys will appear in state and federal courts and will work with clients to manage and assess risk. They will also be responsible for handling all stages of litigation, including pretrial litigation, trials, and appeals.
Preferred experience/skills:
- Courtroom experience
- A strong desire to do jury trials
- Handling pre-filing investigation, discovery, motion practice, and depositions
- Drafting documents and correspondence
- Resolving claims by settlement
- Familiarity with state court rules and procedures
- Commitment to public service
- Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Missouri. Candidates with relevant experience and education will be considered for an interview.
Salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
