A Brief Overview
This Assistant Manager Box Office will partner with the Manager Box Office with overseeing box office operations and supporting ticketing functions and processes. Responsible for ensuring that the ticket office runs efficiently through proper training, event management, leadership, and the oversight of the day-to-day function of the Box office. The Assistant Manager Box Office will share the responsibility of maintaining strong working relationships between various promoters (internal and external), artist representatives, venue management, and staff members. They will ensure a superior level of customer service is provided. The Assistant Manager Box Office will also be responsible for assisting in the overall administrative planning, direction and policy implementation.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee all ticket system activities and maintain accurate documents and participate in development of efficient customer service and manage all communication with staff.
- Works with Box Office Manager and Promoter on all show and production kills and provides assistance with set up of additional events at specified facility.
- Collaborate with various departments to manage all subscriptions and mailing lists for all ticketing events.
- Lead staff in proper Customer Services Policies including resolving customer (internal and external) issues and interfacing with other departments. Assures consistent, courteous and respectful (including timely) service. This function requires training and empowering staff to execute the related function.
- Completes daily reconciliation, deposits, proper cash handling procedures and nightly show settlements.
- Works with Box Office Manager to create schedules and maintain staff records and requests. Prepares materials for and interviews potential candidates.
- Maintains customer relationships and resolves customer complaints and issues.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree (4-year)
- 4-6 years Of related work experience
- Prior supervisory experience required
- Previous experience in the music industry and event planning
- Experience with ticketing systems and basic knowledge of databases
- Advanced knowledge of computerized ticket sales, preferably the Ticketmaster system
- Strong math aptitude and with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Computer savvy. Knowledgeable and skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and moderate to complex problem solving skills
- Able to multitask and prioritize heavy work load while working in a fast paced working environment
- Knowledge of industry best practices
- Proven ability to manage and lead team
Pay Scale:
- $50,095.80 - $63,062.63
Bonus:
- This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
