Are you looking for an Early Education assistant Child Care teacher role in a welcoming and exciting intergenerational center?
Opened in 2020, the Pillars Child Care Center is conveniently located off the light rail transit station and close to the metro bus near the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis, MN. This Intergenerational Child Care Center is embeded in The Pillars of Prospect Park Senior Living community features 133 Independent living, 106 assisted living and 44 memory care apartments.
We are looking for an Assistant Child Care Teacher to support Ebenezer’s Intergenerational Child Care program by caring for and teaching young children in their assigned age group. Early Education Assistants will teach, plan and organize childcare program activities to ensure that the program provides the highest quality childcare available.
This position includes:
Preschool room
80 hours per two weeks
Monday- Friday

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum
Maintaining a child friendly and orderly classroom
Implementing effective guidance and support strategies
Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team
Supervises health, safety, and overall well being of children at all times
Participates in program areas such as intergeneration activities
Maintaining certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.
Minimum Education
High school degree- Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota 9503.0032
Preferred Education
Two years full time post-secondary education with 9 quarter or 6 semester early childhood/child psychology or related field coursework.
Must meet Department of Human Services Rule 3 assistant teacher qualifications
