Job Summary and Qualifications

Assistant Controller

The main goals of the Assistant Controller is to provide prompt, efficient and accurate processing of all general ledger activities performed in compliance with hospital corporate policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for assigned receivable and liability account reconciliations. Resolves all reconciling items in these accounts
• You will be responsible for completing assigned Medicare, Year-End and Internal Audit work papers. Responsible for answering questions related to these items
• You will be responsible for the month-end closing procedures of the hospital and the COIDS associated with the hospital. Prepares month-end entries associated w/ assigned closing functions
• You will maintain Fixed Asset System and capital schedules, which includes the reconciliation of Fixed Assets
• You will be responsible for the Annual budget for the COIDs associated with the hospital and assists in the hospital annual budget preparation
• You will be responsible for daily and bi-weekly PLUS productivity reconciliation and maintenance of the multiplier tables for each department. Provides PLUS training to new Directors/Managers and refresher sessions when requested

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree – Finance or Accounting / CPA preferred
• Experience in mainframe and PC based reporting systems preferred
• Minimum of 2 years accounting and supervision experience preferred. Hospital background preferred
