Assistant Director Behavioral Health

Location: Modesto, CA

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner medical center in Modesto, CA, as an Assistant Director of Behavioral Health. This is a pivotal leadership role, where you'll collaborate with the Director, Patient Care Services, to ensure exceptional care and support for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management:
  • Assist the Director in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing care provided by the behavioral health team.
  • Assume 24/7 responsibility for unit standards, staffing, leadership, decision-making, fiscal guidelines, and department relationships in the Director's absence.
  • Foster a positive and professional environment for physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Actively participate in and promote performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Experience:
  • 2+ years of recent acute Behavioral Health experience.
  • 1-2 years of management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nursing license in the state of California.
• Skills: Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
