Position: Assistant Director of Development

Position Overview:
As the Assistant Director of Development, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's fundraising efforts. You will work closely with the Director of Development to create and implement strategies for donor cultivation, stewardship, and retention. You will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of donors, developing relationships, and soliciting gifts. This position requires a strong understanding of fundraising principles, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a passion for making a difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Director of Development to create and implement fundraising strategies to support the organization's mission and goals.
- Manage a portfolio of donors, including cultivation, stewardship, and solicitation.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, ensuring a high level of engagement and satisfaction.
- Develop and implement donor recognition and stewardship programs.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
- Conduct research on potential donors and create donor profiles.
- Prepare and present regular reports on fundraising progress and results.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create fundraising materials and campaigns.
- Assist with grant writing and reporting.
- Stay up-to-date on fundraising best practices and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in fundraising, preferably in a non-profit organization.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to connect with donors.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and fundraising software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the organization's mission and making a positive impact in the community.
