Job Description: | Under the direction of the HR Director and Associate Director, the Assistant Director of HR Strategy will oversee the College of Medicine (COM) HR business partners team, ensuring a strategic, efficient, and effective review and approval of HR requests to support COM and its units. This role involves training and supporting business partners to provide optimal guidance and pathways for achieving human resource goals. A background in health science, clinical, or foundational science units, and familiarity with faculty-related operations such as credentialing, promotion & tenure, and clinical requirements is preferred. The Assistant Director is expected to have a thorough understanding of UF directives, policies, and procedures related to human resources and to strategically communicate and guide processes and actions. As a key member of the COM-HR leadership team, the role will involve attendance at college events and motivating the business partner team to foster a strong sense of community, collaboration, and alignment with the college's mission. Additionally, the incumbent will enhance the role of HR as a strategic partner and peer to COM and department leadership, supporting overall organizational effectiveness through leadership and strategic HR management, while upholding COM-HR standards of customer service innovation and quality. Expected Salary: | $95,000 - $105,000; commensurate with education and experience |
Minimum Requirements: | Master's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and six years of relevant experience. |
Preferred Qualifications: | The ideal candidate will possess: Master’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field, and four years of progressively responsible experience in strategic HR management, including significant experience in a senior HR role within a health sciences or academic medical center environment, with a strong background in understanding departmental operations and translating this knowledge into effective HR strategies, or Bachelor’s degree in the same fields and six years of the same type of experience.
