Job Summary

The Assistant Division Director of Public Health supports the Division Director with the strategic leadership and daily operations of the Wayne County Public Health Division, which provides environmental health, nutritional health, community health, emergency preparedness, women, and children's health to all Out-Wayne County residents.

Job Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Services Administration, Public Health or related field.

Experience Requirements

• At least 4 years of progressive responsible consultation, supervision, and management experience.
• Employee should possess excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication, and management experience. Employee should possess excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication, and management skills, including demonstrated skills in program planning, evaluation, and budgeting, managing probationary periods, use of progressive discipline, and policy and procedure development.
• A valid Michigan driver' license, safe driving record and have a motor vehicle available daily.
