Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the housekeeping team, including supervisors and housekeepers, through regular meetings and inspections.
- Ensure cleanliness standards are met for guest residences and rooms, including VIP units, and maintain the quality of public areas.
- Interview, hire, and train housekeeping staff, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Manage work schedules and staffing levels, adjust based on occupancy and project needs.
- Track and report department expenses, inspection scores, and manage payroll communications.
- Monitor attendance, provide coaching and counseling, and uphold uniform and resort policy standards.
- Ensure housekeeping supplies are adequately stocked and make timely orders to prevent shortages.
Education & Requirements:
Experience: Prior experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
Skills: Strong leadership, team management, communication, and organizational skills; ability to train and mentor staff.
Knowledge: Familiarity with budgeting, expense tracking, and use of chemicals for cleaning different surfaces.
Flexibility: Ability to adjust staffing and schedules based on guest needs and operational demands.
Safety Compliance: Monitor safety and compliance standards, including BBP, OSHA, and Hazcomm 2012, to maintain a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Customer Service: A strong commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining high service standards.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Valid driver’s license (a motor vehicle background check will be completed).
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook programs, with the ability to operate or learn to operate HotSOS maintenance program.
