We currently operate in the States of Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Colorado and Michigan as a medical and/or adult use cannabis provider to patients and customers. Purpose
The Assistant Facilities Manager position will report to the Facilities Manager to support the facility's needs and site leadership for Pharmacann's Hamptonburgh, NY location. The role will require the ability to work independently and collaboratively to provide a full range of support throughout the site. The candidate for this position must be proactive and proficient with flexibility to adapt to shifting daily demands.
Pay for this position starts at $77,000 / year
Essential Duties
Procedures & Tasks
- This role will be responsible for prompt availability, support, and assistance to the Facilities Manager and site leadership. These duties include, but are not limited to the following, providing administrative needs, facility and company data organization tasks, event coordination, manage and/or support projects, and contributing to the general efficiency of the organization.
- Schedule and oversee building inspections, site tours and permitting needs.
- Support/Lead employee morale team, community integration and volunteer needs.
- Perform in-house compliance, safety, and quality audits to highlight areas of opportunity to improve safety, product quality, productivity, cost savings and employee morale.
- Observe and propose areas of improvement for operational efficiency by applying Lean Six Sigma approach for improving schedule adherence, reducing cycle time, increased thruput, and dispensary acceptance rate.
- Ensure facility and property are maintained and compliant.
- Ensure all required documentation and signage are up to date per regulations and communicate any changes.
- Serve as a liaison between Cultivation, Operations, Corporate, Commercial and Retail.
- Stay up to date and adapt with the evolving market and regulations.
- Utilize Lean Management tools to highlight areas of improvement and streamline workflow.
- Establish new and maintain current vendor relations and contracts.
- Perform vendor quote evaluations to identify any product variances, price comparison, lead time, etc. to ensure our expectations are met.
- Strong team building and people management skills with the ability to create accountability and lead by example.
- Allocate staff resources to optimize Operational needs.
- Experience working with software such as seed to sale, ERP, CMMS and MES platforms.
- Maintain positive working relationships with analytical labs and regulatory agencies.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Workspace and Material Maintenance
- Support the leadership of the facility with coordination and communication towards the general maintenance and upkeep of the facility.
- Schedule preventive maintenance to minimize down time and assign work orders.
- Support the site leadership and facility needs by performing inventory audits to procure and maintain supplies.
- Streamline common maintenance processes by building PM kits to reduce equipment down time and maintaining spare parts inventory.
- Ensure project punch lists are completed, safety has been evaluated, SOPs are in place, and training has been done prior to commissioning manufacturing.
- Propose/support CapEx and OpEx projects.
- Ability to learn how to operate equipment to grasp how to repair/troubleshoot any issues.
- Create and maintain facility equipment asset tracking.
- Support energy sustainability and/or recycling projects per regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate overall equipment effectiveness, perform risk assessments, propose improvements and/or determine plan for underutilized equipment.
- Able to perform basic equipment and facility maintenance tasks and provide IT support.
- Communicate any noticeable EHS concerns to the Facilities Manager. Propose resolve to ensure safety and compliance.
Compliance and Reporting
- Maintain records and documentation per regulations and corporate policies and communicate any changes.
- Supporting and coordinating the instructed procedures to maintain compliance and safety. Any compliance or safety mistake or error created must be addressed, reported, and resolved. Support the communication with appropriate leadership to ensure resolution.
Supervision
- Works under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager.
- This position will be asked to support the selection, training, development, and supervision of employees.
