Assistant Merchandising Manager - Apparel & Accessories
Artful Home is looking for a team player, who appreciates what we do, to join our Merchandising team in Madison, WI. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting merchandise management for apparel and accessories, assuming responsibility for several artists or categories, business analysis and reporting, artist recruiting, communication and relationship management, and sample management.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Continuous improvement of our process, systems, and business
- Developing effective, collaborative, cross functional partnerships inclusive of inventory planning, in-house design and development, branding & creative, marketing, and warehouse
- Sourcing, selecting, and managing products for a category or artist - assisting in assortment review and selection process
- Weekly/monthly sales analysis, hindsight, road-mapping, ad hoc analysis and presentation during meetings
- Completing and reporting consumer research and competitive analysis
- Managing seasonal assortment samples and product information in proprietary systems, ensuring all samples are received on time in partnership with the Merchandise Assistant
- Partnering with the Merchandise Assistant to gather and disseminate all product information data, document product information for catalog spreads, proof catalog and e-commerce copy for accuracy and provide assortment and product data recaps to cross-functional partners.
The majority of the work requires being in-office with the potential for some occasional remote work.
The successful candidates will possess the following:
- 2 or more years of related experience and/or an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Excel pivot tables is preferred
