Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager specializing in Neuro/Ortho to join our partner medical center's team in Everett, WA. This role is ideal for a skilled RN ready to step into a leadership role to support nursing teams, coordinate patient care, and enhance operational excellence in a neuro and orthopedic care setting. The Assistant Nurse Manager will play a critical role in upholding high standards of care while ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Job Responsibilities
- Leadership and Staff Support: Serve as a mentor and support system for nursing staff, offering guidance on clinical care, workflows, and professional development. Assist with onboarding and ongoing training for new and current staff members.
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations within the Neuro/Ortho unit, ensuring efficient workflows, adequate staffing, and effective resource utilization. Coordinate and communicate with other departments to enhance continuity of care.
- Patient Care Oversight: Work closely with the team to ensure that all patients receive high-quality, patient-centered care. Assist in complex cases, providing expert input and hands-on support as needed.
- Quality and Compliance: Monitor and uphold compliance with healthcare policies, procedures, and regulations. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to evidence-based care standards.
- Performance Evaluation: Assist in conducting staff evaluations, recognizing achievements, identifying areas for improvement, and promoting professional growth within the nursing team.
- Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication among healthcare providers, patients, and families. Act as a key point of contact for patient concerns, staff inquiries, and interdepartmental coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid Washington Registered Nurse (RN) License upon hire.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association, upon hire.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience within the past 5 years, ideally with experience in neuro and orthopedic care settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior leadership experience in a nursing or healthcare management role.
- National certification in neuro or orthopedic nursing.
