Job Summary:

We are seeking to hire an Assistant Plant Manager for our sand processing facility. This position plays a critical role in the operational success of our sand processing facilities. This position is pivotal in supporting the Plant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring that production goals are met efficiently while maintaining compliance with company and MSHA safety standards. Will be responsible for supervising production teams, managing plant operations schedules, and contributing to continuous improvement initiates. A keen eye for efficiency, a knack for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential. You will help in driving our mission to deliver top-quality frac sand by optimizing our production processes and leading our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Plant Manager include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Plant Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating all production activities within the plant.
• Ensuring production processes adhere to established quality standards and meeting production deadlines.
• Implementing and enforcing safety and environmental compliance measures within the facilities.
• Collaborating with various department heads to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of operational strategies that enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Supervising and evaluating staff performance, providing training and development as needed.
• Monitoring equipment maintenance and facility upkeep to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
• Assisting with budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performance of the plant.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Key Tasks and Duties:

Within the scope of the aforementioned responsibilities, the Assistant Plant Manager will undertake tasks such as:

• Preparing and reviewing operational reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Overseeing the hiring, training, and dismissing of staff.
• Developing or improving sand processing processes through strategic operations initiatives.
• Managing conflicts or discrepancies amongst production teams or departments.
• Enforcing strict MSHA safety guidelines and company standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of production and manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
• Candidates should also possess strong leadership skills, the ability to manage time effectively, and excellent communication abilities.
• A keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for successful performance in this role.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment; Knowledge of MSHA standards preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
