Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance is seeking a skilled Assistant Practice Manager for our Atlanta, GA location. The Assistant Practice Manager reports directly to the Practice Manager. With their supervision, the Assistant Practice Manager assists with administrative functions, managing patient interactions, and ensuring efficient workflow to enhance the overall patient experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist the Practice Manager in managing day-to-day operations, including scheduling,
staffing, and resource allocation.
· Oversee patient intake processes, handle inquiries, and ensure timely follow-up on
appointments and referrals.
· Assist in billing, collections, and insurance verification; maintain accurate financial
records
· Support human resources functions, including onboarding, training, and performance
management.
· Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures; assist in
maintaining accreditation standards.
· Facilitate communication between staff, patients, and external stakeholders to promote a
collaborative environment.
· Prepare reports and analyze data to assist in operational decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Proven experience in a healthcare administrative role; experience in practice management is a plus.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Familiarity with medical billing and coding.
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
