Position Overview:
North West Roofing, located in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Production Manager. As the Assistant Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production department, coordinating all activities related to the remodeling and renovation of jobs sold by the sales department. This includes managing labor, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient and timely project completion. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, be flexible and adaptable, and demonstrate a high level of dedication and passion for their work. The role may require local and occasional travel to project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the entire production department, ensuring smooth project execution and completion.
- Coordinate all aspects of the production process, from start to finish, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
- Travel will be required as needed for the jobs being managed.
- Collaborate with the sales department to ensure a smooth transition from sales to production phase.
- Schedule and assign tasks to production team members, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Assist in Managing the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective solutions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to provide updates and address any concerns or issues.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the production team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Communicate with the sales team on trades coordination and scheduling
Requirements
-Previous experience in roofing production management or a similar role is preferred.
-Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected changes and challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to project sites, as needed.
- Exceptional work ethic, dedication, and passion for delivering high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Valid Drivers License
