About the Job
The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is in search of a non-tenure earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track for the Cerebrovascular Division, Department of Neurology.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Strong clinical and research background in Cerebrovascular Diseases
- Involved in clinical care of patients at the UHealth clinics, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital
- Participate in research projects, educational and mentorship activities of the Cerebrovascular Division and the Department of Neurology
- Care for patients in the Jackson Health System inpatient settings
- Train/mentor physicians, staff,
- Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences
- Develop a research program in Cerebrovascular Diseases
- Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)
- Stroke Neurology Fellowship is preferred
- Board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended
- Eligible for Florida medical license
- Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
