Impact Recruitment is currently looking for a Construction Assistant Project Manager on a full-time basis to join our clients team in Santa Barbara, California. Our client is one of Santa Barbara's premier builders for over 35 years.

This position offers a chance for the right person to get involved in all aspects of running large, custom residential projects. One of the great challenges of custom home construction at the highest level is smoothly navigating an ever-changing project, and one of the great rewards is seeing the finished project at the end of the journey. The Assistant Project Manager is often the first on the construction team to learn of those changes and is chiefly responsible for sorting, organizing and distilling the design documents, meeting notes and other communications into a form that can be used efficiently by the project team.

Responsibilities of the position:
- Work with the team in a field-based position to develop projects from preconstruction to substantial completion.
- Manage all documents, drawings, and communications throughout construction phase using Procore
- Prepare meeting agendas and document meeting minutes
- Assist in project meetings with principals, architects, engineers, consultants, owners, and owners representatives.
- Update and track project timelines and schedules using Microsoft Project
- Track contract documents and resolve field-generated questions
- Schedule and order long lead time materials and products, coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and all approvals.
- Utilize Procore for Daily log, Photos, Documentation, and record keeping
- Generate and track RFIs
- Read and interpret plans
- Analyze, compare, and evaluate subcontractor bids
Qualifications Required:
- Attention to Detail, Organized
- Highest Levels of Honesty, Integrity, and Responsibility
- Proficient in Procore
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate drawings
- Strong Sense of Caring Professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word
- Proficient in Microsoft Project (preferred)
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat (preferred)
- Strong written communication skills
- Vehicle and valid drivers license are required
- Background check will be required
