LOCATION: 100% Onsite in Vienna, VA – Metro Accessible.
BACKGROUND CHECK: Background Check will be completed.
PAY: $60,000.00 W2.
BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, Paid Time Off and Holiday Pay
HOURS: Monday – Friday – 40 hours per week- EST hours.
PARKING: Free at the building.
Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager who can perform Assistant Property management tasks and who knows the Section 8 HUD Recertification. Our and can approve the packages and make sure everything is correct. This client is a full-service real estate organization. This location is a senior affordable housing apartment community in Tysons Corner, VA in need of a strong Assistant Property Manager to join their team.
Assistant Property Manager Responsibilities:
NOTE: As a candidate for this job, YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH Yardi software system along with other IT software like Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
· In this job you will be providing Assistant Property Management services and helping the Property Manager with the standard property management tasks.
· You will also need to know the Section 8 process because you will be checking the packages submitted by the recertification specialist and approving them to be submitted for government processing.
o Approve Annual, and Interim recertification's for 274 units in a timely manner.
o Check that rents are calculated correctly for annual and interim recertification.
o Make sure that meetings are held with income reported discrepancies and adjust rent as needed.
o Ensure compliance with all HUD, Tax Credit and/or other regulatory requirements related to the property's funding sources.
o Manage workload, ensure all re-certifications are completed in timely manner.
o Review monthly recertification list with recertification administrator to make sure the package are correct before submission.
o Ensure detailed notes are place in the computer system and resident files.
o Effectively maintain the waiting list.
o Other duties as assigned.
Assistant for Property Manager Requirements:
· Must have 6 years of Property Management experience.
· Must have some experience working at an apartment property that is Section 8.
· Yardi software skills are requirement for this job.
· Microsoft Office Suite skills (word, outlook, excel) are needed for this job.
· Detail-oriented and the ability to operate on a deadline driven schedule.
· Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Have a valid driver’s license.
· Preferred but not necessary is experience in Background Checks, social media, and other IT systems that promote knowledge and upgrades to the standards in the industry.
· Must be able to exercise a great deal of discretion, work independently or with little oversight and use independent judgement.
· Possess knowledge of general office policies and administrative procedures and practices.
· Ability to efficiently manage and coordinate multiple tasks and project assignments.
· Strong time management skills and ability to effectively prioritize.
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
· Intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Adaptability.
· Pro-active approach to solving problems and getting tasks done.
· Physical ability to operate a telephone, computer, sit for extended periods of time and occasionally lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
