General Summary
Our Rental Operation is located at 4190 Glenbrook Dr. in Hailey. The Assistant Rental Manager is responsible for ensuring superior customer service for our equipment rental customers. They will also ensure compliance with effective inventory management and maintenance practices for all large and small equipment.
Wage Range: $19/hour - $24/hour, depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Customer Service
• Provide positive representation of business.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Provide a friendly, outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Handle customer complaints. Work with Manager to resolve problems with the customer and have business' best interest taken into consideration.
• Possess excellent operational knowledge of all equipment and ability to demonstrate for customers.
Business Operations
• Must develop complete and thorough knowledge of the rental computer system utilized by the business.
• Ensure a positive, professional and safe work environment for all associates.
• Assist in Managing and directing preventative maintenance and repairs in order to maximize and protect all physical assets.
• Ensure receiving, checking in, stocking of merchandise for the store is being done completely.
• Oversee and assist with the daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the office, shop, and rental yard.
• Provide assistance in the overall general maintenance of the building.
• Ensure forklift operations and receiving is completed in a safe and efficient way.
• Ensure all machines are ready to rent for the customers.
Store Support Operations
• Manage fuel, parts, and other controllable expenses.
• Responsible for successful Loss Prevention, Safety and Internal Audits.
• Assist with special projects assigned by ownership.
Leadership
• Become an integral part of the community in which you live and work through civic organizations and being community minded.
• Lead by example; be approachable by all associates and customers.
Education/Training
High School or GED equivalent required. Completion of NHRA Advanced Course in Hardware Retailing recommended.
Experience
Must have previous management experience and knowledge of large and small equipment, as well as common rental tools.
Physical Demands
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.
