What we're looking for
Vacasa is seeking a skilled and energetic tennis instructor to teach private lessons, clinics, and camps to all ages and abilities at Sea Colony’s world ranked tennis program this summer. You will aid the Assistant Director and Director of Tennis with tennis operations for our 34 clay, hard, and indoor courts at the #1 private facility in the country ranked by Tennis Industry. As the Assistant Tennis Professional, you will present a professional and welcoming demeanor to all participants, homeowners, visitors, and co-workers daily.
Compensation
- $19 / hour
- Commission: 70% commission on private lessons and group clinics including additional compensation from tennis packages, round robins, socials, tournaments, and stringing racquets.

What you'll do
- Lead individuals and groups in tennis instruction and play
- Inform customers of programs and events
- Assist with enrolling participants in camps and lessons
- Monitor players on courts
- Restring racquets
- Refill water jugs and maintain facilities
Skills you’ll need
- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals and groups of all ages and ability levels
- Prior coaching experience
- Knowledge of current teaching techniques and strategies
- Energy and enthusiasm
- Accomplished tennis player
- College playing experience or USPTA/PTR certified is preferred
- Self-motivated, creative, and well-organized
Work environment and physical demands
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk/sprint for extended periods of time in the sun
- Reach overhead and below the waist
- Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist
