The annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $139,200.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

Nike’s Creative Operations team is seeking a skilled Assistant Video Editor to join our expanding Post-Production function. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong technical and problem solving skills to support our video post-production team in executing premium video content across digital commerce, social, and campaign work streams. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of video workflows and assist with creating project templates, organizing media assets, offline to online conform, and deliverable creation to ensure that video projects run smoothly from start to finish. This role is ideal for a passionate specialist looking to expand their skills in a fast-paced, high volume, creative environment.
This is a full-time onsite position based at Nike’s Los Angeles Content Production studio.
Applicant’s must provide a portfolio showcasing their technical proficiency.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in high volume, short form, video editing workflows. The ideal individual will have a high level of proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Premiere’s Lumetri color panel, along with other video editing & color grading software such as Davinci Resolve. Familiarity in ‘Premiere Pro Productions' and motion graphics software (After Effects) being a plus. A strong understanding of video post-production processes including file management, organization, versioning, and deliverable formats is essential. We are looking for someone with a strong attention to detail, creativity and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines. Must have excellent communication skills, be proactive and a team-player.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working within the Global Post-Production function, contributing to the development of scalable post-production video workflows. You will be accountable for supporting the Video Manager and Video Editors in assembling raw footage, organizing media assets, managing project templates, deliverable creation, quality assurance, project archival, and data governance. You will perform essential assistant editing tasks such as prepping, trimming, reformatting, offline to online conforming, color validation and audio syncing, ensuring that all content adheres to brand standards and Post-Production department guidelines.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
As a critical member of the Video Team you will collaborate closely with both full-time and freelance Video Editors, Colorists, and members of the extended Post-Production team including; Post Director, Asset Coordinators, Retouchers, and Post Producers. You will work alongside a dynamic Production Team, Designers, and Art Directors ensuring alignment between the creative vision, scalable post workflows, and final asset delivery pipelines. You will liaise with the key stakeholders to accurately manage media assets and maintain smooth workflows. As part of a collaborative environment, you will also interact with cross-functional teams such as Equipment, Operations and Pre-Production.
WHAT YOU BRING
+ 5+ years of video post-production department experience. 3+ years of which were in a Assistant Editor roll at a established post studio or agency.
+ Strong technical knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro & Media Encoder, including smarts bins, watch folders, batch exports, codecs, formats, color management, etc.
+ Skilled technical knowledge of MacOS, Apple hardware, network attached storage, and RAIDs.
+ Proficiency in Airtable, Frame.io, Slack, Automator / Apple Shortcuts, Keynote, and Photoshop.
+ High threshold for working in deadline-driven, fast paced environments, adapting as you go.
+ Collaborative team player interested in innovation, latest technology and R&D.
+ Excellent verbal and written communicator.
