We are seeking an Associate Director/Director of Regional Marketing & Customer Engagement who will drive strategy, planning, and execution in the East and West regions.
The Associate Director/ Director of Regional Marketing Customer Engagement will engage with National and Regional Hematology and Oncology Thought Leaders. In this role you will coordinate and execute the Thought Leader engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with the organization's corporate strategy, brand positioning, brand strategy and lifecycle management plans to ensure brand success and ongoing optimization.
Essential Job Functions
- Regional Marketing Lead, driving regional marketing and engagement strategies and initiatives to support delivery and optimization of brand positioning, brand strategy and life-cycle planning.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across commercial functions, including field medical leadership, to identify areas for shared Thought Leader insights, and to align strategies and execute tactics effectively.
- Partner with Medical Affairs leadership and field Medical Scientific Liaisons (MSLs) to ensure a coordinated, compliant approach in the external engagement with National and Regional Thought Leaders
- Partner with sales leadership and field sales representatives to ensure a coordinated, compliant approach in the external engagement with National and Regional Thought Leaders
- Inform and execute on the National and Regional Thought Leader strategy, translating it into commercial insights, messaging and contributing to broader communication strategies and plans.
- Foster advocacy with Hematology-Oncology Thought Leaders to ensure effective collaboration and support for investigational therapies and future anticipated FDA-approved treatments.
- Plan and oversee marketing-led, cross-functionally coordinated Thought Leader engagements at various conferences, events, and meetings, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Collaborate regularly with the brand team to provide strategic input from customer insights to inform strategy, planning, messaging, tactics, and program development.
- Identify and successfully execute opportunities for strategic programs that support business goals.
- Foster an environment that prioritizes positive patient, caregiver, and healthcare provider experiences.
- Adapt strategies as needed to support pre-launch preparations and post-launch pull-through, navigating a dynamic market.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to execute business plans and contribute to the Customer Engagement team's objectives.
- Manage CRM to maintain accurate account and contact details.
- Collaborate with the Regional Marketing Team to build a speaker bureau, train speakers and support speaker program management and monitoring.
- Responsible for collaborating with annual planning and management oversite of the functional budgets and return on investments.
- Partner with Analytics and Insights to better understand regional treatment pattern variations to inform peer to peer program placement
- Ensure all activities and practices adhere to regulatory and legal compliance standards.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS or healthcare equivalent degree required, and advanced degree (ex. MBA, PhD) preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or medical experience in Hematology/Oncology with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical marketplace and deep understanding of industry and broader trends within the healthcare landscape.
- Minimum of 3+ years combined experience in Key Customer Engagement and/or Regional Marketing in Hematology/Oncology required.
- Proven ability to access and influence C/D-Suite level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong strategic vision, leadership, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to form strong, constructive internal and external professional relationships.
- Successful new product and indication expansion launches in Hematology, Oncology and other rare diseases required.
- Prior pharma/biotech start-up experience preferred.
- Technologically savvy and committed to leveraging data and advanced analytics daily to drive business results.
- Ability to travel on a frequent overnight basis, with occasional weekend travel to medical congresses, depending on business needs.
The base range for an Associate Director is $195,000 - $220,000 and a Director is $210,000 - $252,000 per year. Individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including, and without limitation, job-related skills, experience, work location, and relevant education or training. Kura's compensation package also includes generous benefits, equity, and participation in an annual target bonus.
