Job Details
The Role:
Our client seeks a highly motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join their team ASAP!
What you will do:
Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their personal injury claims, provide legal advice, and assess the merits of each case while demonstrating empathy.
Pre-litigation: Work with their advanced case software management, insurance department, medical management team, and case managers to manage caseload from inception to resolution. Responsible for reviewing demands and negotiating with insurance companies, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties to secure favorable client settlements.
Litigation: Appear in court on behalf of the Plaintiff. Review and analyze written discovery. Take depositions of parties, doctors, and experts. Participate in arbitrations, pre-trials, and mediations. Take cases to trial as necessary, securing the most favorable result for the client.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, insurance adjustors, and opposing counsel to provide updates on case progress..
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active licensure to practice law in the State of Illinois
Licensed to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois
Strong understanding of personal injury laws, regulations, and procedures.
Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compassion for injured individuals and a dedication to achieving justice on their behalf.
