Responsibilities:
As a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Defending medical malpractice claims with diligence and integrity.
2. Taking and defending depositions in a range of cases.
3. Handling all stages of litigation from NOI through trial.
4. Preparing and managing cases effectively.
5. Preparing for trials meticulously, ensuring all relevant information, documents, and evidence are ready for presentation.
6. Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
7. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents with precision and accuracy.
8. Staying updated with current laws and regulations within the healthcare industry.
9. Providing legal advice to clients, presenting case strategies, and helping them understand their legal rights and options.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
3. 5+ years of experience as an attorney, specifically in defending medical malpractice claims.
4. Proven experience in taking and defending depositions.
5. Demonstrated experience in handling NOI through trial, case preparation, and trial preparation.
6. Excellent communication and writing skills with a keen attention to detail.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external parties.
8. Proven ability to handle a large workload, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges and obstacles.
10. High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
