Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel on a variety of real estate matters including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development, and REIT matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate agreements and contracts.
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence and risk assessment on real estate transactions.
- Advise clients on legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to real estate transactions.
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, if necessary.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys and paralegals to ensure a seamless delivery of legal services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and market trends affecting real estate transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering legal advice that meets their business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in real estate law, with a focus on transactions, leasing, and REIT matters.
- Proven track record in handling complex real estate transactions.
- Strong negotiation skills and an ability to think strategically and analytically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
