Job Description: The firm is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and will be responsible for handling all phases of litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse and complex cases while developing professionally within a supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including business disputes, contract law, personal injury, and real estate litigation.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage all aspects of pre-trial and trial preparation, including discovery and depositions.
- Attend hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate for clients.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes.
- Maintain client communication and provide legal counsel throughout the litigation process.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school in Alabama.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation or related practice areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills.
- Experience in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively in a team environment.
