Overview

The Associate Director, Connections Strategy provides cross-channel, data-driven marketing strategy development to reach our clients’ key audiences.
This role is responsible for day-to-day strategy development and CRM program definition as well as opportunity identification for direct digital marketing programs. These programs will support complete customer lifecycles: pre-purchase to post-purchase to ongoing engagement and loyalty.
The ideal candidate should have experience developing, road-mapping and activating CRM programs to help brands better connect with their customers through direct and addressable channels. They must have a deep understanding of bringing to life consumer engagement strategies through addressable/owned channels including email, push, direct messaging, and others.
Responsibilities
+ Lead cross-functional CRM strategy engagements with focus on the development and stewardship of CRM owned-channel programs for the complete customer lifecycle
+ Responsible for insight definition, audience approach, program strategy, creative briefing, and performance/reporting insights
+ Develop a deep understanding of consumer behavior from first-party data sources as well as third-party research
+ Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to identify key strategic challenge(s) and evaluate scope of strategic engagement
+ Partner with Account, Creative, Media & Social Strategy colleagues to establish cross-channel approach and execution for CRM programs
+ Present strategy output and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
+ Identify and steward growth opportunities through incremental program proposals and proactive strategy recommendations
+ Develop insightful creative briefs to provide focus and direction to creative teams responsible for developing channel-specific and overall campaign/program assets
+ Develop a strong understanding of the clients’ category and unique business dynamics within the category
Qualifications
+ 7+ years of demonstrated excellence in CRM, direct marketing or customer engagement strategy within consulting or agency environments
+ Solid understanding of strategic planning best practices and how to use this knowledge to develop integrated cross-channel programs
+ Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, vision, and leadership to help facilitate change within a team and client’s organization
+ Deep experience with all addressable/owned channels including email, push, SMS, web, direct mail, and integrating with media and social teams
+ Insight development from primary and secondary research, plus online communities, ethnography, traditional and web-based focus groups, social media monitoring, digital audits and digital behavioral data, and online/offline media measurement tools.
+ Experience working with MarTech platforms such as Salesforce, Adobe, Braze, Epsilon and more
+ Ability to develop strong client relationships and trust based on deep immersion into the client’s business

Compensation Range: $113,000 - $154,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
