Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate Director oversees the efficient management of warehouse operations, ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support cell therapy manufacturing and development. Your role will involve strategic planning, process optimization and team leadership to maintain safety, quality and compliance. You will develop the materials management operations and flow across multiple warehouses located in the Los Angeles area. This position is based in Tarzana, CA and reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement warehouse strategies to support multiple warehouse facilities. Identify ERP process for inventory and materials management, including material receipt/release workflows, kanban/dispensing, storage transfers, order fulfillment and final product pack-out.
- Improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
- Lead and mentor a high performing team of warehouse staff while encouraging a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, inclusion and execution excellence.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the accurate tracking and management of inventory, ensuring the availability of materials for development needs.
- Work with other departments, such as manufacturing, quality control, and development to synchronize warehouse activities with production goals and incorporate continuous improvement.
- Manage and escalate material supply risks to team members. Collaborate cross‑functionally to develop mitigation plans.
- Support new material qualification efforts, tech transfer projects, and process improvements.
- Produce and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other important metrics to inform decision-making.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
- Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
- Plan schedules and activities to accomplish goals.
Education and Experience
- 10+ years' experience with BS/BA OR 8+ years with MS/MA/MBA
- Relevant experience in Supply Chain/ Materials Management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry; preferably within cell therapy.
- Experience using inventory management, asset management and environmental monitoring systems such as ERP (Netsuite), CMMS (Blue Mountain) and EMS (Vaisala).
- Direct experience in warehouse, and materials planning/procurement.
- Experience working in a GMP manufacturing facility.
- Must be on-site.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,649 to $170,473. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
