The YMCA of Greater Richmond is currently seeking a highly motivated, mission-driven, team-oriented professional to help lead the aquatics department at the Shady Grove Family YMCA.

DUTIES
The Associate Director will be responsible for the planning, implementation and supervision of aquatics programs, with a focus on swim lessons, water safety days, Learn to Swim, pool maintenance, and aquatics events. Specific responsibilities include developing and implementing programs; coordination and scheduling of swim lessons and other programs; overseeing the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff; communications with members and program participants; and oversight and maintenance of Tuckahoe's two pools. The Associate Director will work closely and collaboratively with other departments to engage members and provide excellent service, as well as partnering with schools and community members.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree is preferred, and at least one year of related experience in aquatics is required. Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal abilities and computer proficiency are necessary. The ability to effectively coach staff is essential. Candidates must be able to work a varied schedule, to include frequent evenings and Saturdays.
The following certifications are required (YMCA can provide):
CPR- Pro/AED/First Aid/O2 required
Current YMCA/Red Cross/Ellis lifeguard certification required; LGI preferred
Current YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor required; YMCA Swim Lesson Trainer or Faculty preferred
Salary: $36,000. Hiring incentive available.
