POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the AD of Marketing and Communications is responsible for overseeing the alignment of the TKU brand, developing creative vision for a project or campaign and managing the creative process to ensure successful execution.

Position Specific Responsibilities
Lead and review the work of creative teams for all web, print, and digital marketing collateral.
Develop and manage content strategies for projects, ensuring alignment with brand design, copy, art, and digital technology, and approve art and copy to ensure they meet marketing objectives and standards.
Assist Director of Marketing in the creative and brand design development of outcomes for the marketing department, monitor assessment, and develop informed action plans for improvement.
Forecast and manage budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Direct the creative and brand design processes, including layout, visuals, and overall design strategy.
Oversee a cross-functional creative team (or external contractors) to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
Design and implement creative visions for publications, product visuals, and digital assets.
Assists in the creative outflow and storytelling of video and digital assets to bring excellence to external marketing strategies.
Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling print materials and digital experiences for ideal audiences.
Provide feedback on advertising content, images, and videos, ensuring consistency with brand voice and goals.
Oversee and review all content creation, ensuring the output is on-brand, on a mission, presented in a consistent voice, and in support of the organizational goal.
Develop internal marketing campaigns that align departmental objectives with creative strategies.
Analyze market trends, consumer needs, and competitor landscapes to inform creative decisions.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or 7 years relative experience with 2 more years in an agency or higher education setting
SKILLS
Strong project management, organizational, and leadership abilities.
Experience in developing and executing marketing/advertising campaigns within budget and on time.
Proficiency in creating integrated content across digital, social media, print, and other marketing channels.
A compelling portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual content.
Proficient in leading diverse creative teams and aligning creative vision with business objectives.
Analytical skills for interpreting data and driving performance improvements.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage shifting priorities.
Experience:
Expert graphic design, creative brand, and project management skills.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with graphic design and creative teams.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom), Canva, and content management systems.
Photography and/or videography skills, preferred.
