Orlando Health Neuroscience Institute, Neuropsychology Group is hiring for an Associate Director of Neuropsychology!
The Associate Director will oversee 4 Neuropsychologists. In addition, the Associate Director is responsible for providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments of adult patients suspected of having cognitive impairments associated with neurological conditions affecting the brain.

About the Neuropsychology Group
Our neuropsychologists are licensed psychologists with specialized education and extensive training in the clinical neurosciences, including the relationship between behavioral functioning and neuroanatomy, neurology and neurophysiology. They are specially trained to evaluate memory and thinking problems in those affected by injury to any part of the brain. An integral part of Orlando Health’s Department of Neurology, Neuropsychology Group also shares a close collaborative relationship with other departments to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities:- Provides professional operational leadership of the outpatient Neuropsychology department.
- Collaborates with Orlando Health Medical Group Administration to ensure departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrates a high degree of leadership, initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision making to achieve Orlando Heath specific goals.
- Ability to identify clinical care gaps and develop, evaluate & update clinic policies and standard operating procedures in the ambulatory clinic setting.
- Plans and coordinates quality and service activities in the outpatient clinic and is responsible for the overall culture of safety within all service line clinical areas (clinic, treatment areas, inpatient/outpatient transitions).
- Actively participates in ambulatory wide clinical strategy with the Assistant Vice President and operational leaders to ensure alignment to these strategies in their ambulatory clinics.
- Efficiently manages, directs, and coordinates clinic processes to provide cost-effective, quality patient care service.
- Provides neuropsychological/neurobehavioral assessment of patients with an emphasis on how their current status impacts their daily function and rehabilitation.
- Interacts effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Develops neurobehavioral treatment plans and works within the team model to implement them as appropriate.
- Trains and supervises Doctoral and Masters level psychology students.
- Participates in didactic and committee work as appropriate, and in accordance with the specific interests of the candidate.
- Conducts oneself in a manner consistent with APA ethical guidelines and ensures a safe environment for patients and visitors.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Education/Training
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD) is required.
- Successful completition of a Clinical Internship and Post-Doctoral Fellowship is required.
- Advanced training in Rehabilitation Psychology or Neuropsychology is required. (Internship or Fellowship Level).
License/Certification
- Must currently be a licensed Psychologist in the State of Florida (by the Florida Department of Health).
- Must currently be certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
- Must meet the guidelines specified in "Division 40 APA" for practice in neuropsychology.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience working within medical settings and interdisciplinary treatment teams is required.
