The Role
Stellix Global Services is currently looking for an Associate IT/OT Engineer to support the IT/OT Field Service engineering team as we provide services and project delivery to our installed base customers throughout New York and beyond. These customers range in industries from Life Science, Pharma, Power, Specialty Chemical, Pulp & Paper and others. The role will primarily cover clients in the upstate New York and western MA locations, but opportunity for travel beyond this region is likely.

What You’ll Do
- Assist the IT/OT Lead Engineer or Supervisor with infrastructure network design, installation, commissioning and maintenance activities in a Microsoft OS environment, often utilizing either VMWare or HyperV virtualization platforms.
- Support design and build activities for Life Science customers in a Quality controlled methodology. May involve extensive documentation, internal testing, Factory Acceptance Testing, and Site Acceptance Testing.
- Perform general computer maintenance, security updates, upgrades, diagnostics, and data backups of DCS workstations or servers, following Emerson Automation Solutions guidelines.
- Provide Dell server and workstation warranty support.
- Troubleshoot DCS control systems at the network, controller, and /O level, in order to resolve customer problems in an efficient manner and keep their system running.
- May involve supporting customer contracts for 24/7 emergency response and preventive maintenance, although after-hours emergencies are typically once per month or less.
- Support on-call duty on a rotating monthly basis.
- Work collaboratively
- Travel: Occasionally overnight, to customer sites.
What You’ll Bring
- IT or Engineering Technology, or Associate Degree with 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- A+ certification strongly preferred
- Strong computer hardware troubleshooting and Microsoft OS knowledge.
- Knowledge of Dell computers and server hardware is preferred.
- Knowledge of network switch configuration and/or firewall configuration is preferred.
- DCS or PLC platform knowledge or troubleshooting experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with virtual environments is preferred.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
This position has a starting annual salary between $65,000 and $80,000 based on level of previous experience. In addition, this position will be eligible for a variable incentive plan.
