Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Audit Manager/Sr. Manager with a strong background in tax provisions to help lead our audit team. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of auditing standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting. This role involves overseeing audit engagements, managing client relationships, and providing strategic guidance on tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Review and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP/GAAS.
Tax Provisions:
- Lead the preparation and review of tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and other relevant tax regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their tax positions and provide insights on potential risks and opportunities.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance on technical issues and professional development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support career growth for team members.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on audit and tax matters.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients clearly and effectively.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting and tax regulations, ensuring that the firm’s practices are compliant.
- Participate in quality control and assurance processes to maintain high standards of audit practices.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present audit reports to management and stakeholders, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development of technical accounting and tax positions for clients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting required, title and compensation based on years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting OR Bachelor’s Degree plus requisite accounting coursework.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License from appropriate state.
- Strong understanding of: Tax Provisions in accordance with ASC 740 and other relevant tax regulations.
- Strong Understanding of US GAAP & GAAS and other audit methodologies, internal controls, and financial statement audits.
- Proven ability to assign work, guide employees and complete projects on time and in budget.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing direct reports, management at higher levels and clients.

Pay Range: $140,000-$180,000
