Job Details
- Manage a diverse range of estate planning matters, including the creation and execution of wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Lead consultations with clients to develop customized estate plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Conduct legal research on estate, tax, and probate laws to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare and review complex legal documents, including estate planning instruments and asset protection strategies.
- Facilitate communication between clients, financial advisors, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive estate planning solutions.
- Handle disputes regarding the validity of wills or trusts, and assist in resolving disagreements among beneficiaries or challenges to fiduciary conduct.
- Provide guidance on tax implications of estate planning decisions, including assisting with estate tax filings and strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Support the administration of estates, ensuring timely and efficient handling of probate processes and related legal matters.
Needed:
- Licensed to practice law in North Carolina
- 4+ years of recent experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration
- Strong knowledge of estate and tax laws
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead consultations effectively
- Experience with estate planning software, such as WealthDocx or ElderDocx, is a plus
