We are looking for an Associate Attorney with civil Litigation experience for a well-established midsize Law Firm. The Firm represents entities that require legal representation in restructuring, contract disputes, and the defense of eminent domain proceedings.

We are looking for an Associate Attorney with civil Litigation experience for a well-established midsize Law Firm. The Firm represents entities that require legal representation in restructuring, contract disputes, and the defense of eminent domain proceedings.
Your specific duties will include:
- Represent city commissions and city administrations in governmental and civil matters.
- Attend city commission, subordinate agency and advisory board meetings as counsel to client cities.
- Appear in State court on behalf of private and city clients in civil matters, including foreclosures, contract disputes, and tax deed matters.
- Appear in County criminal court as Municipal Prosecutor to prosecute ordinance violations, such as panhandling, open container, and other municipal code violations.
- Attend special magistrate hearings as counsel for client cities on code violations and municipal liens.
- Review code violations and municipal liens imposed upon individual citizens and negotiate settlement for same.
- Draft and review ordinances and resolutions for adoption by city commissions.
- Draft and review contracts to ensure vendor compliance.
- Conduct legal research and draft memorandums to municipal clients in response to inquiries.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
- Florida Bar
- Prior civil law experience
- Strong attention to detail, possess excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
- A strong commitment to exceptional client service is required.
- Ability to work in a collaborative setting.
