J&J Auctioneers LLC is seeking a dedicated Auction Set-Up Specialist to assist with the preparation, organization, and execution of consignment and online auctions. The Auction Set-Up Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring equipment is properly staged, maintained, and ready for auction, while also managing logistics and coordinating post-auction equipment loadout and removal. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction equipment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Auction Set-Up: Organize and stage equipment for auctions, ensuring proper placement and readiness for consignment and online auctions.
- Logistics Coordination: Oversee the logistics of equipment transport, delivery, and set-up at auction sites, ensuring smooth operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist in the inspection, maintenance, and minor repairs of auction equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Loadout & Removal: Manage the post-auction loadout and removal of equipment, coordinating with buyers to ensure timely pick-up.
- Facility Management: Assist with maintenance of auction facilities, ensuring the site is clean, organized, and prepared for events.
- Team Collaboration: Work with auctioneers, sales teams, and other staff to ensure successful auctions and address any issues that arise during set-up.
- Travel Assistance: Be available to travel to different auction sites as needed to assist with set-up and execution, sometimes for extended periods.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with construction equipment, trucks, and machinery, with the ability to assess and maintain equipment.
- Forklift Operation: Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery to safely move and position equipment is strongly desired.
- Logistical Skills: Strong organizational and logistical planning abilities, with a focus on efficiency and attention to detail.
- Technological Skills: Basic proficiency in using a smartphone and computer for communication and documentation.
- Self-Motivation: A motivated self-starter who can work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision, while also being able to work in a team.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills, with the ability to work closely with team members and auction participants.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required; a Class A CDL is a significant plus.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in the elements, seasonally, all year round.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb, crawl, lift, carry, bend, and inspect underneath vehicles.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to detail information and inspect all deliveries thoroughly.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to meet with new consignors and greet them; sales skills are highly preferred.
- Tech Skills: Ability to take clear photos, videos, and notes, and use company software effectively.
