About the Job
As a combined Tier 1 Network Support Technician and Audio Video Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network and A/V systems. You will provide first- level technical support, perform A/V installations, assist with VoIP phone systems installations, and maintain our technology infrastructure. This position requires a combination of network and audio-video skills to support our clients effectively. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing and supporting audio-video and network.
Key Responsibilities:
Audio Visual Technician:
Install, configure, and maintain audio, video, and network systems for commercial clients.
Perform site surveys to assess installation requirements.
Run and terminate cables, including Cat5/6, coaxial, and speaker wire.
Mount and install audio-video equipment, such as projectors, speakers, TV's, and control systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio-video.
Provide on-site and remote support to clients.
Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
Document installation processes and maintain accurate records.
Stay updated on latest industry trends and technologies.
Network Technician:
Provide Tier 1 technical support for network related issues.
Maintain and repair client network operating systems, cabling infrastructure and other related components.
Assist with client Network Management activities.
Basic hardware, software, VoIP repair and maintenance.
Install new printing/copying equipment on customer networks, including scanning and printing functions.
Maintain MOEbiz network and related back-office systems.
Maintain records of completed work and in-progress systems installations; all tickets entered into MOEbiz systems.
Work directly with Managed Services team to develop customer infrastructure plan.
Microsoft 365 basic/intermediate administration.
Reset domain user's passwords.
Assist other departments in routine/special assignments.
Expectations of the job:
Basic active directory knowledge.
Maintain focus and attention to detail while performing onboarding and service activites.
Troubleshoot network issues, connectivity, printing resolution, and scanning issues.
Assist with development of technology roadmaps for implementation at customer sites.
Complete continuing network and security training through authorized MOEbiz resources.
Ability to work with others to promote teamwork.
Experience in installing and supporting audio, video, VoIP, and network systems
Familiarity with various audio-video equipment and network components.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to use standard networking tools, punch down tool, toning device, screwdrivers, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of network and audio-visual technologies.
A Bachelors or Associates degree in a related field is preferred.
